I thought I could take a little time to educate you on snoring. A lot of people suffer from this snoring problem and the main reason is due to not knowing a thing. Whenever you’re faced with a problem you have to first understand it before you can solve it. I think everyone that snores wants to be able to get rid of it, but they don’t know anything about the problem. Without even the most basic understanding it is difficult to even choose a product that could help you because you don’t even know if it is helpful or just something that is marketed to you. I’m going to let you know exactly what you need to know about your snoring problem, which will help you solve it.

Everyone should be able to identify that the sounds of snoring are produced in the throat area. You should also be able to tell from the way the sounds resonate, it sounds like there is something moving around in that area of the throat. This is a good observation because it is the tissue in the throat creating the sound. Air travels by it and it will start flapping to the point where it makes sound.

That gives you a mechanical view of the snoring problem, but it doesn’t explain why this tissue only makes noise when you sleep. Obviously it has to be flapping while you’re awake, so what exactly is causing it to flap as you sleep? Well, this is going to surprise you, but it is actually created by pressure on the throat. This pressure comes from the position of your jaw.

Why does the jaw cause this snoring problem? It is due to the muscles that control the position of your jaw. They go into a limp state as you fall asleep. Every person experiences different slack amounts of the muscles. Some jaws will fall right onto the throat, creating the snoring problem. Other jaws will stay in a reasonable position. This explains exactly why some people end up snoring and others do not.

It should be apparently obvious that all you have to do to stop this problem is to control the position of your throat. If the position of your jaw is kept in place than it is difficult to produce snore sounds.

Learn how you can control the position of your jaw with the Snoring Chin Strap.
