Should You Be Worried About Your Children Snoring?

Published: Jul 23rd, 2010 | Author: admin Add Comment

Snoring is a condition that most of us will associate with an adult. The idea of children snoring is a little unnerving. I thought I could give you a little run down on this subject because I don’t think people talk about it much. In fact, most people don’t even talk about snoring in general, let alone kids. Despite how taboo or odd you may find this to be, it actually isn’t that uncommon for a child to snore. Anywhere between 3-12% have it, which does make it appear to be much more common. Most of the children that fall into this percentage range are actually quite healthy, with no other issues.

With children snoring you’re going to think that there is a health concern with it, but for the most part it just happens without any issues. I have to point out that a small percentage of the children that do end up snoring do have it because of obstructive sleep apnea (around 2%). This is a much serious issue and a lot of new medical studies are showing that this can lead to behavioral and school problems. Obviously if you suspect that this is the reason for snoring than you’ll want to speak to a doctor about it. I don’t want you to get scared though since it is about 2% of children that are snoring. Remember, only 3-12% of children snore in the first place, so it is a very slim odd that it could happen to your child. (more…)

Stop Snoring Naturally and Fast

I wanted to show you how you can stop snoring naturally because it really isn’t that hard. You can actually get results the very first night that you try it, so that is always a good thing. There are a ton of people out there that suffer from this problem and what you’ll find even more surprising is the fact that most of them will never even try to fix the problem. I think of my dad that snored and he still snores. He never tried to do anything to fix the problem and really when you get right down to it – that’s the real problem. I’m going to show you how to stop snoring naturally and how you can do it for fast results.

What is the first thing that you have to know? You need to know how the entire process works. When you snore, it’s just not something that happens. It happens for a reason and if you want to stop it, than you have to identify it. The rumbling sounds that you hear are produced in the throat area and it’s the tissue in that area vibrating as air travels through that area. Since air travels through this area when you’re awake and you don’t snore, we need to identify why this only happens when you sleep. The cause is due to the jaw and how it is positioned when you sleep. The jaw doesn’t hold the alignment that it does while you’re awake and the position actually puts pressure on the throat area. Non Prescription Sleep Aids

Published: Nov 19th, 2009 | Author: admin Add Comment

Non prescription sleep aids are becoming ever popular throughout America. There are some serious side effects that occur quite often when using a prescription sleep aid that can be avoided by using a non prescription sleep aid.

Nearly 99% of all non prescription sleep aids are either one of two things: doxylamine (dox il’ a meen) or diphenhydramine (dye fen hye’ dra meen).

Doxylamine is an antihistamine that helps people fall asleep by slowing down their central nervous system. It sounds kind of scary, but doxylamine is relatively safe, and is one of the main ingredients in the NyQuil line of products. Doxylamine is mostly used for allergies but also makes you drowsy which is why it’s in most non prescription sleep aids. However, it does have a few side effects that one should be aware of. They include, dry mouth, nose, and throat, nausea, headache, and nervousness. (more…)
